What is PRP? First of all, PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma. It is a safe treatment that uses a concentrated portion of your own blood, rich in specifically platelets (thrombocytes) and growth factors. These cells and growth factors induce healing and tissue regeneration naturally. In aesthetic medicine, PRP is used most of the time to rejuvenate the skin, stimulate hair growth, and improve texture, tone, and elasticity of our skins.

The procedure starts drawing a small amount of the patient’s own blood by the medical providers, processing it in a specialized instrument to isolate the platelets by using centrifugal force following by injecting it into the interest area.
